Problems Logging In or Registering

Our membership system requires that your browser be allowed to accept cookies in order to access membership areas of the site.  Internet Explorer (IE), by default is set to not accept cookies. If you are using IE and when you try to register or login, if cookies are not being accepted, you will be taken to a page telling you that you are not authorized.

To allow the IE browser to accept cookies, from the top menu in IE, choose Tools -> and then Internet Options.  When you do this you will see the following screen:

On the above screen, click on the Privacy tab at the top and the screen will now look as follows:

Here is where you change the cookies setting for the IE Browser. You want to make sure the following items are all checked as shown above:

Override automatic cookie handling

First-party Cookies - Accept

Third-party Cookies - Accept

Always allow session cookies

Once this is done hit OK and then you will return to the previous screen and hit OK again.

Now the IE browser will be able to handle cookie session which are used on sites that use an advanced membership system, like SwingForPleasure.

If you have FireFox browser, you do not need to do anything, because the default of the FireFox browser is to accept cookies.  Our site is optimized for viewing with the FireFox browser.  This browser is free and can be downloaded by clicking here.
