Well I thought it about time I wrote a blog.  This is nearly three weeks into my tenancy as acting Site Manager and I'm just about getting used to it!

I always thought that running a site was hard work but never really appreciated how hard, until Lisa and Dene asked if I would watch the shop while they went on holiday. Well I can tell you, its a bit of an eye-opener.  A website is a bit like a swan.  Calm and collected gliding over the water, yet underneath paddling like crazy to keep moving.

Lisa and Dene really deserve their break as I now see  what goes into keeping a site like this running. We all owe them a debt of gratitude for having the foresight to make a wonderful friendly site for us to use to meet and make new friends.

To you, the regular members in chat, thank you for your support to me during these last few weeks.  Its been hard work but great fun and I've learned so much more about running sites. I'll look forward to handing the reins back to Lisa and Dene in a few days.
